Groom ran away from the Saltspring Island wedding cerempny to prison

Claire Fresneda and Shai Topaz planned to tie the knot on Beddis Beach on Saltspring Island back on Saturday.
But as Fresneda waited in her marriage attire for Shai Topaz to get to the ceremony, he was encircled by the RCMP officers, whisked off away in his linen to Saltspring detachment, after that taken by police vessel to Victoria police station.
The forty seven year old dad of two kids who works for na international communications firm told that he begged them to let me to at least see his bride and to have some compassion, instead, he was taken into custody and his bride was not even told about that.
The time when he was taken into custody, Shai had 4 warrants out for his arrest – 2 were unendorsed warrants that mean the judge wanted him to come before her; 2 were warrants of committal that means he had to either pay money owed or spend time in jail.
Darren Lagan, an RCMP spokesman, stated that all needed the police to bring Mr. Topaz before the courts without any delay. The judge’s instructions on these particular warrants was very clear — find Mr. Topaz, arrest and detain him and bring him before the court.
